Police have arrested three suspects regarding Monday morning’s daring break-in at the La Fargue, Choiseul outlet of Massy Stores Supermarket.
According to reports, bandits in a Suzuki Escudo smashed their way into the supermarket by reversing the vehicle into the commercial enterprise after unsuccessfully trying to get in.
They had earlier held up a security guard who was reported to be unharmed.
Once inside the supermarket, the bandits helped themselves to several items, tied a rope to the Bank of Saint Lucia ATM, and dislodged it after several attempts before escaping.
Law enforcement officials held the three suspects in Soufriere after 3:00 a.m.
But sources disclosed that the three men the police arrested were in a Suzuki Swift at the time.
Police discovered the Suzuki Escudo that had earlier reversed into the supermarket over a precipice at Victoria, Choiseul.
Investigations are continuing.

I have said it before and saying it again the police needs to start thinking like the criminals in other to win the this criminal game and new laws need to be pass so those whose cover and aid the criminals needs to be held accountable and charge that’s called guilty by association or aiding and abetting also those charge with violent crimes should be denied the right to register to vote and a passport’ holder unless been pardon by the governor general so you live the state to go elsewhere to start a new life of crime giving st lucian people a bad rap overseas you stay right here and pay for your sins
although some people will know you by your name when you get arrested but most people wouldnt know who so the authorities needs to start posting everyone pictures so everyone can see once you are being charge with a crime now guilty or not that’s another story by its self but charged with a violent crime the public has to right to know who you are so the know they have to feed you with a very long spoon to be on the safe side

Those who are rejoicing are absolute fools. Don’t they realize the loss of the retailer is passed on to the consumer, which means prices will climb not decline. That’s how it works. The greater the demand the higher the prices, except if the government intervenes.
It just amazing how quickly the police made an arrest after this break-in, same thing after Mega J was broken into. People’s houses are getting broken into everyday and not one arrest. You don’t even get a call from the investigating officer to tell you if anything is happening. Makes one wonder!

Massy’s will simply pass on the costs of the loss to the customers. That’s a regular move by businesses. I am not sure why some people find the incident hilarious since they might be paying more. Typical kindergarten trend of thinking. By the way, if Massy’s is not available to ripoff, crooks will get another target. After all, they are crooks.

Some Lucians are condoning the criminals robbery of Massy and it is sad. Every business is in business to make a profit. In areas where thefts are high, very often items are priced higher. In the end the customer will be at a lost every time.
In addition, 1/2 a loaf is better than none and had it not been for Massy some Lucians would be unemployed. Let us be honest – the criminal malveetayes in St. Lucia do not want to work a legitimate job regardless as to how much it paid on hour.
