Security officers employed with ICON Security throughout Saint Lucia will now benefit from an eight percent (8%) general wage increase negotiated between the company and the National Workers Union (NWU).

This amount will be spread over a three (3) year period.

The new industrial contract also makes provisions for an increase in the duration of
Paternity Leave as well as in the allowances for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

The Company and the Union agree to the immediate implementation of the said provisions without any further delay.

  1. Something is better than nothing I guess.

But 8% spread over 3 years by the end of the 3years another 8% would be required the way cost of living going.

5% immediate increase and the reaming 3% over 1 year that would have been more favourable to staff.

    The struggle is real!

Any protective gear included stab, bullet proof vests.

  2. Re Article At least Security is willing to increase the salaries to what $ amount.?
They need $10+ per hour now and retroactive from?

  3. They only doing that just because minimum wage is conning up no man should work for less than 7 dollars an hour you think it easy to risk your life working 12 to 18 hour shifts in inhumane conditions mosquitoes biting you all night and if the boss find you taking a nap ..
