CMO Emphasises Importance Of Early Start For Healthy Habits

Saint Lucia’s Chief Medical Officer has told a World Health Organization (WHO) event of the need for healthy habits to start early in life.

“Healthy behaviours and habits must start from very early,” Dr. Sharon Belmar-George observed.

She explained that the education system was suitable for influencing young minds.

“We must take advantage by integrating age-appropriate education into the school curriculum,” the Chief Medical Officer stated.

The senior Health Ministry official revealed that Saint Lucia was working on a new programme to strengthen child and adolescent health through the school system via ‘the school health desk.’

Dr. Belmar-George spoke at the 75th session of the World Health Organization’s Regional Committee for the Americas.

She told the event that holistic elderly care was also a priority for the Saint Lucia government.

The Chief Medical Officer recalled that Saint Lucia recently launched a Golden 80 Health Programme.

As of July 1st, 2023, all citizens eighty years and older could access medication, hearing, and eye care services at community wellness centres at no cost.

The free services are available upon submission of any form of national identification.

The Chief Medical Officer told the WHO gathering that Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) remain a significant concern for Saint Lucia.

However, she stated that significant initiatives were underway to improve the situation, targeting the risk factors.

  1. Sweetheart, I may agree with you on paper but let’s face it, how many 80 year old and over in the St. Lucia I know, give a damn about their health; to start with their eating habits, diet and general health care I doubt has changed; ST. LUCIA THE SAME, YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW; just see who most of them are raising up today, about 400 of them are locked up. They drink they smoke eat greasy fried over salty fast food, bad for the stomach, Mom Dad and Granny & Grand Pop, all eat the same; and Blood Pudding???

  2. Chowmein and stewed sausages……that’s a recurring meal on the menu of a school for Lunch…aka a school that falls under the purview of the Gosl and the Ministry of Education. What’s your take on that CMO.

  3. HFLE and PE are on the timetable, but in some schools they are not taught consistently. So in some cases they are hardly taught, and in some primary schools in the region, there are classes in which PE is not taught.

  4. I am encouraged by what I read in the article.
The CMO recognises the connection between Health and Education.
We need to have our schools in the region transition to become Health Promoting Schools.
This has the potential to be of significance in tackling NCDs. However support will be needed from collaboration between the Ministries of Health and Education, and of course the Ministry of Finance.

  5. It is unsurprising what kindergarten-level topics are addressed at these WHO events – a reflection of the arrested mental state of the speakers & their audience. This article was only instructive to the extent that it explains how medical “professionals” were so easily captured to spread the gospel of Covid & its “vaccines”, for generating exorbitant profits for the pharmaceutical industry across the globe!

I had seen the video, presented below, a couple of years back on YouTube, but it was quickly censored, expunged from view, because it detailed the conspiracy of Big Pharma, WHO & primarily western health & medical agencies to unleash a bio-warfare agent against an unsuspecting world population. This morning, I found a newly published video (on BitChute) of Dr. David Martin addressing the European Parliament, and instantly realized he was the author of the video which had been censored. I searched the archives of BitChute, and there it was – a detailed exposition of the Covid crime & “vaccine” punishment against the world:

FULL INTERVIEW: THERE IS NO VARIANT – NOT NOVEL – NO PANDEMIC. DR DAVID MARTIN WITH REINER FUELLMICH

It would be remiss of me not to include the speech at the European Parliament which triggered my re-discovery of the explosive video presented above:

Wake up folks! Don’t be put to sleep by the bedtime fairy tales from the CMO & her ilk. She has been paid to keep you in the dark concerning the nefarious machinations of the global pharmaceutical industry!

  6. BIG PHARMA!!!!!!!!! RULES THE WORLD. @ NUDGE YOU ARE SOO RIGHT. THE BIG MONEY SHE IS GETTING IS NO JOKE. KARMA COMES IF NOT NOW BUT SOONER WATCH OUT CMO.
