Maritime security was the focus of discussions when a team from the Regional Security System (RSS) Headquarters visited the Commonwealth of Dominica and Saint Lucia recently.

According to an RSS release, Ministers and Permanent Secretaries with National Security and Maritime Affairs portfolios and heads of Police, Customs, and Ports gave feedback to the consultants on their national maritime threats and interests.

The release said the RSS mission also supported visits to Ports, Marine Bases, and Coastal Radar sites to assess maritime assets.

The RSS team comprised the Director of Strategic Services and International Affairs, Rhea Reid-Bowen; Regional Maritime Officer, Lt. Commander, Rolerick Sobers; Programme Officer, Elizabeth Bradshaw; and Project Consultants, Professor Anthony Clayton (UWI) and Dr. Sanjay Badri-Maharaj.
