WATCH: Custom Department Explains Health & Citizen Security Levy Collection

The Saint Lucia Customs and Excise Department has been explaining how it collects the Health and Citizen Security Levy, which the government said is an investment in the country and its people.

The Philip J. Pierre administration intends to use the levy’s revenue to support Universal Healthcare.

Keiran Joseph -Customs Inspector III from the Department of Customs and Excise, explained how the Health and Citizen Security Levy collection works.

  2. I was out of state for a while and could not follow the politics.
    I am surprised to hear Guy is the Deputy for uwp, what a disgrace, you mean to tell me uwp cannot attract any new blood? Wow
    As far as I am concerned, uwp is the caused of this 2.5% levy. They misused the fund they had and now they are talking. They gave 7.3 million for no vaccine, 30 million to Locker B, 54 million to Panama, 24 million to Sandals, borrowed 863 million and we cannot see where it went to , if ass this money was put into good use there will be no use for the 2.5 %.
