On Monday, Home Affairs Minister Dr. Virginia Albert-Poyotte returned to Cabinet after a heart attack in February.
Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre announced the Minister’s return on Facebook.
I am pleased to have Hon. Dr. Virginia Albert-Poyotte back at Cabinet Meeting today. We have missed her positive energy and contributions over the past weeks,” Pierre wrote.
“I look forward to continuing the good work that we have started to better the lives of Saint Lucians,” he stated.
In a recent interview, Virginia Albert-Poyotte described her heart attack as a rude awakening, noting that she has always been health-conscious.
The Minister, also responsible for Public Service, Labour and Gender Affairs, said she considered herself a miracle and was happy to be alive and breathing.
