She Should Be Remanded at Bordelais Too Stupid
If convinced this lady should go to jail
If convicted this lady should go to jail
Wow… if it was my child that another student bullied or assault, maybe i’d do the same. because parents should speak to their children to respect others no matter what. no every day someone will be able to tolerate their bullying
It’s unfortunate that this happened, bcuz she was disciplining somebody else child for them, since parents today not doing it themselves 🙃
As a child who was bullied severely in the 90’s by the daughter of a then known criminal from Castries , I understand the mother’s actions. Sometimes the teachers are more afraid of the students. Up to this day, I still carry the scar from that bladed ruler. All because of my eczema.
Makes absolutely no sense to me why an adult would assault a minor in such a way and call it ” discipline”. We want to teach the youngers that conflict should be resolved in non-violent ways but there is this lady and the many others who agree with her that such a violent act on a minor is justifiable. Luckily she did that crap in St Lucia. Anywhere else she committed such offense, she would be behind bars for a very, very long time. Adults need to learn how to deal with situations in a non aggressive manner.
It shouldn’t have happened this way. The bully’s parent could have been advised to talk to the bully after the school had been asked to manage the situation. However, now that the victim’s parent has taken matters into her own hands, let us hope that this bully and others learnt a lesson. There is always a price to pay for bullying and it doesn’t mean being paid to the bullied.
I say, give every violent 16 yr old the adult treatment. Take a beautiful look at all the violent 16 year olds around the island committing murders today! The way some of these 16 year olds abuse and mistreat other people’s children, is inexcusable. At age 16 you have an understanding of what is right and wrong, and that another child’s parent could possibly become the UNREASONABLE judge and juror to your stupidity! This mother may have acted out of frustatration too because police officers from the south are some of the most inactive bunch!
It is with interest I read this article and rightful the Enforcement of the law executed by the police is justifiable. How ever i could not help but compare the sums set for bail versus what is also set for individuals found with illigal possession of lethal weapons.
I question a system that sets $5000 bail for unlawful possession of lethal weapons considering the current situation with crime in this me Helen of the west!
These parents who are behaving badly, must be dealt with severely. Adults Disposition should be worthy of Emulation.
@Jade correct – reposting “anywhere else she committed such offense, she would be behind bars for a very, very long time. Adults need to learn how to deal with situations in a non aggressive manner.”
In addition I also add – most Lucians will not be able to survive in a civilized society govern by rules and regulations outside of St. Lucia, because compliance is expected for all law abiding citizens and non compliance would result in severe punishment up to and including incarceration (fine and confine) and that’s a reality.
BTW – some leaders within the education system lack the ability to discipline some of the children and teachers which they supervise. We must understand that we MUST ALWAYS be fair in treating others (have or have nots). In addition, no one should be bullied in school or in the workplace.
@SMH we are now in 2024 and it appears that bullying impacted your life in the 90s – do the best that you can to deal with the past and do not allow yourself to be bullied anymore. Stand up, speak up and take your rightful position.
Someone once tried to bully me in the workplace and I simply told her in a respectful manner to back up and back down because I AM CERTAINLY NOT THE ONE. Guess what – she left me alone right then and there. Godspeed.
@Jay please shut up! You need to not provide unsolicited advice to those who never asked for help. I have dealt with bullies accordingly since receiving my scar, trust me when I say I am good. Some of them just need a good beating to understand their place! If countries like the US, Canada etc really knew how to address such, it wouldn’t have been the birth place of alot of murderers and sociopaths. More parents need to beat bullies when their own parents have failed.
This woman needs counseling I cannot understand why she would react this way and beat the hell out of the person’s child. She’s lucky she got the right young man and not a lil gangster boy. What if the parents take action into their own hands. Her crazy actions warrants some crazy jailtime. Parents have to know their place. That was not the right avenue at all.
@SMH I think you misunderstood what I meant – Based on the entire article, I was simply stating the fact that BULLYING is not a good thing for anyone to experience and since you posted about your experience in the 90s I responded. I certainly meant no harm by the statement – I also included my own experience with a bully. However, please accept my apologies – Godspeed.
