The Water and Sewerage Company Inc. (WASCO) has advised members of the public and motorists to exercise caution along the St. Jude Highway in Vieux Fort.

A 12-inch transmission pipe ruptured on Saturday, damaging a section of the road.

As a result, WASCO has urged motorists and pedestrians to note ‘cautionary devices’ for safety.

The water utility disclosed that its Senior Operations Supervisor- Southern Services, has informed Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Transport personnel about the damaged road section.

“WASCO deeply regrets the inconvenience that the planned works will cause to residents, motorists and other road users. We thank you for your patience and cooperation,” a company notice stated.

In addition, WASCO has encouraged customers to promptly report any supply interruptions or localized faults to its south control room at 457-3984.

Individuals can also send reports via WhatsApp Messenger by forwarding contact information and location to 482-0051.
