Bail For 52-Year-Old Charged With Firearm, Ammunition Theft

On Monday, June 10, 2024, the Micoud Police Station launched a probe into a report of Theft from a motor vehicle which occurred in Micoud, leading to one (1) arrest and the recovery of a stolen firearm and ammunition.

Upon receiving the report, the officers promptly launched a thorough investigation and swiftly acted on the leads.

This rapid response led to the identification of the suspect, fifty-two-year-old (52) Johnson Alexander, also known as “Ti Lamb” of Anse Ger Micoud.

Investigators sought the assistance of an off-duty officer, whose quick actions resulted in the subsequent apprehension of Johnson Alexander.

At the time of the arrest, the officer conducted a search on Johnson Alexander, resulting in the recovery of the previously reported, stolen firearm and ammunition.

Consequently, Johnson Alexander was formally charged by the Micoud Police Station for the offences of; Possession of Firearm, Possession of Ammunition and Theft.

Johnson Alexander appeared before the Magistrates’ Court to apply for bail. The court granted bail under the following conditions:

  1. Possession of a Firearm: Twenty thousand dollars (XCD20,000.00)
  2. Possession of Ammunition: Fifteen thousand dollars (XCD15,000.00)
  3. Theft: Ten thousand dollars (XCD10,000.00)

In place of the cash required to post bail, Johnson Alexander may provide suitable surety or land documents.
