Funds Needed To Help ‘Midget’ Pierre ‘Win The Race Of His Life’

A GoFundMe appeal has been launched to raise funds for Michael ‘Midget’ Burnley Pierre, following his prostate cancer diagnosis.

The local sports personality needs extensive treatment in Martinique and his family wants to raise $US 25,000.

According to the GoFundMe page, the cost of Pierre’s treatment is ‘astronomical.’

But his family said they are determined to give him a fighting chance.

“We are hoping that you all will join us in this relay of his life, as this is just the first leg of his winning race. We are seeking donations, whatever your heart desires to enable him to undergo his treatment,” Pierre’s younger brother Desmond Pierre wrote.

The younger Pierre declared that nothing is too small and the family would greatly appreciate every bit.

  1. What gets me. Most transaction are done in US currency so why can we not get paid equivalent to it?
This would determine proper health care to islanders and affordable service can be provided.
All treatments are usually in US currency. Government need to put measures towards ensuring insurances in SLU are standard to US payment in order to curb raising funds for people.
Even at Tapion Hospital the cost of there is so gr8. How many people can afford health care at this amount. You going to transition for a mere 25K?
SMH when will SLU is SLU with human respect.
Best wishes to all who can help. Let blessings continue to pour your way so that divine grace fall upon you and your families.

  2. That’s where your vote should have counted. Some of you that voted to put $1,500 or “party” over health care must at some point feel the repercussions of the $75,000 or so Chastenet would have given to each individual or to each household (whichever) for health care had you re-elected him. $1,500 you will only dream of. Now that there is no health care in SLU or health care for just a few leaves some begging for donation when they have a medical crisis. $25,000 U.S is a substantial amount of money to raise and I wish you good luck bro and a speedy recovery if you succeed.

  3. Midget Pierre served the country well, why can’t he get some of the preferential treatment that Ms Virginia Poyotte got as she said she served the country and is entitled to the preferential treatment. I guess his service wasn’t important as hers.

  4. First and foremost I wish the gentlemen well. However, can someone please answer my question –
    1. Is healthcare coverage NON EXISTENT in ST. LUCIA?????

  5. Everything is politics. If you not donating HUSH!!! No one ask for your political opinion. 🙄🤨
