  1. The government should be releasing a statement that they will commit to unwavering support for Saint Lucian athletes, increasing the number of athletes who go on to represent Saint Lucia at international events, increase the number of sporting disciplines to get more Saint Lucians into sports..the government should waste no time in capitalising on Ms Alfred’s success and the uphoria this success has whipped up. Judging by the government’s track record, I suspect they will let this opportunity go right over their heads. One thing that can be assured though, is that they are already expecting Ms Alfred’s success to benefit the tourism sector by increasing the number of visitors to Saint Lucia.

  2. She deserves FREEDOM of The ISLAND!

Julien should get the HIGHEST HONOUR the ISLAND can give!

    It’s that SIMPLE!

  3. why is only the focus on one individual and from my understanding st. lucia had more others at the Olympic. come on ppl open your eyes… her winning is well earned and rightfully deserved. The was politicians are jumping at this and ignoring is that encouragement these people deserved? Did the government ever invested in this girl even in her travel expenses or accommodations? No but the ministers sees it fix to abuse tax payers for their own gain…
