Suspect In Custody Amid Fatal Vieux Fort Chopping Probe

Police took a male suspect into custody Sunday as they continued investigating last week’s fatal chopping in Vieux Fort.

The suspect is a Bridge Street, Vieux Fort resident.

Dead as a result of the chopping is 39-year-old Kervin Louis, alias’ Colly Pool”.

Vieux Fort Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officers responded on Thursday at about 11:20 am to the chopping report, finding the victim in a pool of blood on Bridge Street, Vieux Fort.

Louis had sustained a laceration across the neck and chest, and a medical doctor at the scene pronounced him dead.

Family members disclosed that earlier in the day, the deceased was involved in an altercation, and they learned that a masked individual had later attacked him.

  1. I hate to say this – however there are demons roaming all over St. Lucia with hearts more wicked than Satan. I can tell because their demonic evil deeds are evident in their WICKED actions — wow.

  2. I think you’ll need to shut down that “ST LUCIA TIMES” cause you have no idea how to report news. I’m tired of you just showing criminals in handcuffs and no face. The editorial staff is doing a “piss poor job” presenting the news. St Lucia may be the only place in the world that do not elaborate on news such as giving names, show faces, explaining how it happened and follow-ups. They always give half of the story and you got to figure out the rest. In addition, the police always ask for assistance, but without a name or face it becomes more difficult. I guess the police is content with what you hear and not what you see. Don’t forget that this criminal can be in your backyard and you unknowingly can be at risk because his face and name was never revealed on the news. What are you hiding? Why do you protect criminals?

You are correct – the citizens have a right to know who is residing in their midst.

St. Lucia please ask Barbados to help you when reporting such serious crimes….murderers, rapist, thieves, con artist are living amongst folk in St. Lucia and citizens have no idea who they are – is that not putting your citizens at risk????

In addition, their suitweeezeeee parents, family and friends always state after criminals commit crimes that the “criminals are good boys – just a little troublesome” – whatever ???????

  4. This is a very serious crime, and if found guilty he can be sentence to 20 years to life imprisonment , even if i have bipolar I will never harm someone . I won’t even kill a fly … This is very barbaric

  5. I guess if I had to take St.Lucia Times side on this one. My first impression would be it’s a free service. I guess, beggers can’t be choosers. Wonder if a fee was offered to get more complete news, would people still follow. Maybe that should be a consideration. Then you can demand better written and supported information than what is being published presently. “just a thought”
