Miss Royal BVI Police Force Crowned “Miss True Blue”

Organisers of the inaugural “True Blue Beauty Pageant,” have described the event as a success.

The pageant was organized by the Caribbean Federation of Police Welfare Associations (C.F.P.W.A.) and was held on Friday at the E. St. Luce Finance and Conference Centre under the theme “United We Serve.”

According to the organisers the pageant served as the C.F.P.W.A’s  commitment to nurturing both beauty and service  as well as a support for charitable initiatives and developmental programs within police forces across the Caribbean.

Six female police officers participated in the event. They were Tresan Sharpe of the Royal British Virgin Islands Police Force, Neddia Bromley of the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service, Sabrina Mangal of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, Regine Clement of the Trinidad and Tobago Municipal Police Service, Shania Samuel of the Royal Antigua and Barbuda Police Force and Nickesha Lewis of the Guyana Police Force.

The contestants were first featured in the creative introduction category, followed by national costume, talent, evening wear and interview segments.

Contestants embodied the spirit of service in the various aspects of the competition including their costume and evening wear as well as their community driven “Beauty with a purpose” projects.

In the end Tresan Sharpe- Miss Royal British Virgin Islands Police Force was crowned “Miss True Blue”.

The 1st runner up was Shania Samuel, Miss Royal Antigua and Barbuda Police Force, while the 2nd runner up position went to Nickesha Lewis, Miss Guyana Police Force.

Organisers are hoping to make the event an annual one as they seek to foster greater solidarity among officers within the region.
