  1. Yet again there is another murder in the country. I heard that this man who was killed had committed a heinous act against a little girl in Soufriere and that the family of the kid found out and sought revenge. Where is the police in all that? Why are people taking the law into their own hands? Has St Lucia returned to the laws of the jungle? This should not be allowed to happen. People should not be allowed to take the law into their hands.

If this man really violated this poor kid he should have been arrested once there is evidence that he did so. He should then be charged and brought before a court of law where a judge and jury will decide his fate. Once the evidence is robust and compelling then the jury will no doubt find him guilty after being directed by a judge who will then send him down. It is not for anyone to take him out. Those who took him out should be charged with murder. The man was not charged with any crimes and so killing him was not on. How about his Human Rights to a fair trial if he was charged with a crime? That is gone now. There are too many criminals with guns who are running amok in the island ready to expunge people who may be innocent of the crimes they are being accused of.

It was not that long ago a Scottish man was taken out in that same area of Market Road. The killer/s have never been found up till now. The police are not bothered to find him and their investigative skills are very poor and tenuous, No one has been charged with this Briton’s murder and is unlikely to. There was another murder in Morne Sion and again no charges have been brought. Someone must have seen something and knows something. Are you kidding me? This is so sad to see our little island getting in this mess with no hope in sight. It is about time the general populace take the streets and guns away from the vile men who own it. Take it back before it is too late. Like my Yoruba friend would say I Beg O!
