Chain Snatcher Stabbed, Seeks Refuge In Police Station

A chain snatcher fled to the Central Police station on Bridge Street, Castries after sustaining multiple stab wounds in the City, police say.

According to reports, the incident occurred after 1:00 pm on Friday near the Dennery bus stop.

After sustaining the stab wounds, the chain snatcher is reported to have run into the Central Police Station on Bridge Street.

An ambulance later conveyed him to the OKEU Hospital.

The police have confirmed that a suspect is in custody, and the knife allegedly used in the incident has been recovered.

But an official denied reports that the pursuer entered the police station and inflicted further wounds on the chain snatcher.

There are no further details at this time.

  1. u eh get enough stabs .. high time people start to retaliate against them useless good for nothing thieves

  2. That one messed with the wrong one . Expect more of the same as we go. Crime has become so rampant, and security so lapse, that law abiding citizens are arming themselves for personal protection. Although this is not a lawful trend, it will surely bring positive results the greater the frequency. Would be attackers may want to give their wicked intentions a second thought. People would not have to resort to vigilante justice if there was effective deterrence. Build more prisons and tighten penalties.

  3. You simply got what your deed desrve, next time see and don’t touch !!
If you are in hunger ask and you will receive..
May God bless to get a job

  4. You had every right to defend your property and yourself.
I only hope the snatcher is charged. Now, you sustained stab wounds, have a hospital bill to pay, will be charged and maybe, faced prison sentence.
Does your actions worth it, find a job to do and stop stealing what’s not yours.

  5. See where he ran to? The police station. Because they know the law protects the criminal in SLU. So law abiding citizens do what you have to do.

  6. Vigilantism is normally a symptom of breakdown in law and order. Citizens are frustrated with the system and resort to their forms of justice.
My personal view of the matter is the criminal deserved precisely what he received from the member of the public. If the law can’t do it, the public should do it. The criminal should never be rewarded for deviant behavior. Never, ever want to go down that slippery slope.
Just a matter of time before his “human rights representative” clamour about the justice he richly deserved. There are no victims in her delusional world.

  7. Another stage in a lawless, rogue state, broken down state is when law abiding citizens start to take matters into their own hands. The primary reasons for that are no faith in law enforcement or fundamental rights of a human being ie protect yourself and property by any means necessary aka eliminate the threat!!!!
