The Canaries Wellness Centre will be temporarily closed for six months, from Monday, February 10, as it undergoes critical rehabilitative works under the OECS Regional Health Project, funded by the World Bank.
During the closure, all primary healthcare services usually offered at the facility will be redirected to the Soufrière Hospital, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs.
To minimise disruptions for residents, the ministry has arranged transportation services to ensure continued access to medical care.
Transportation Schedule:
• Departure Point: Front of the Canaries Police Station
• Operating Days: Monday to Friday
• Departure Times: 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM
The Ministry of Health has apologised for any inconvenience and called for the public’s patience, support, and understanding as authorities work to enhance healthcare services for the community.
