Well-known chef and restaurateur Robert ‘Chef Robby’ Skeete is mourning the loss of yet another employee after 20-year-old Jolie William was killed on Friday, marking the second violent death of a staff member in just weeks.
William, who worked at Robby’s restaurant in Castries, was fatally stabbed at a guest house in Reduit, Gros Islet. Another woman, who was with her at the time, was also attacked but survived.
William’s death comes just weeks after Alana Bernard, another employee and a mother of three young children, was shot and killed just a few feet from her Corinth home earlier this month.
Reacting to the latest tragedy, Skeete said on Friday: “Just to let you guys know that I’m dealing with another death in my staff. A young lady who was killed this morning was one of my best workers.”
“My staff are all traumatised again, second time around in two weeks,” he added, highlighting the emotional toll on his team.
Skeete disclosed that William had recently ended a relationship with a man who refused to accept the breakup.
Police investigations into both murders are ongoing.

Boss St Lucian Men have serious issues. Serious insecurities..,,,as if to say there is a shortage of women on this island.
Easy crime to solve (just like Alana Bernard).
@The Most Honorable Lucia Highgrade I agree 100 percent – Most St. Lucian men have serious issues which need to be addressed sooner than later.
-Insecurity
-Uneducated
-Ignorant
-Anger issues
-Lack of proper parenting /upbringing
-Followers without independent thought (also a result of lack of education and self awareness
-In other words as they say on the streets (THEY ARE JACKED UP ON EVERY LEVEL FOR REAL – TORE UP FROM THE FLOOR UP)
I can list so much more – but I digress
Young women be very particular about the type of men you accept in your lives. Pray about it if you’re not sure.
St Lucian’s are making their country look so bad. Just killing eachother over jealousy, greed, anger problems. Thats why alot of tourist go to jamaica. St lucia needs better police forces, a better prime minister, better leadership for the kids there. What happen to fist fighting if you have a problem? yall run straight to weapons, COWARDS. Most of the killings are done by LOW-LIVES, UNEDUCATED, ENVIOUS, JOBLESS “WANT TO BE BADMAN”. Everytime i read the news, the police are CLUELESS or never have any LEADS. Don’t be afraid to bring back HANGING, and if you cannot find the person who commit the crime Hang the Parents, set an example. The police force needs better training.
