Tapion Hospital Expands Services with Walk-In Clinic

Tapion Hospital has launched a new Walk-In Clinic, offering appointment-free access to medical care for the public. The facility aims to shorten wait times and ensure that patients receive prompt medical attention.

Located on the hospital’s main level, the Walk-In Clinic operates daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., offering a range of essential healthcare services, including routine check-ups, preventive care, management of hypertension and diabetes, completion of insurance forms, and driver’s licence medical evaluations. Patients can also arrange home visits through this unit.

Additionally, patients will benefit from on-site access to specialists, lab services, X-rays, CT scans, and a fully stocked pharmacy. This integrated healthcare approach will boost efficiency, reduce patient stress, and provide quicker diagnoses and treatments.

The clinic’s opening marks a milestone in Tapion Hospital’s long-term vision for improved healthcare accessibility, according to Medical Director Dr Tracy Semei Spencer.

The opening of this new Walk-In Clinic is a realisation of management’s goal to improve healthcare and make it more accessible to all. It is part of the bigger plans we have for the hospital over the next five years,” she said.

Beyond the Walk-In Clinic, Tapion Hospital has also upgraded its cafeteria, now rebranded as The Cove Restaurant and offering a wider variety of food choices, including healthier meal options.

Commenting on the transformation, Chairman of the Tapion Hospital Board Dr Romel Daniel said, “Our patients’ care and comfort have always been our priority, and while it has taken us a bit of time to get here, the public will start seeing more of the enhancements we have planned.”
