Saint Lucia Ranked Among Top US Summer Travel Spots, Golf Destinations

Saint Lucia has been ranked third on Google Flights’ list of top trending international destinations for US travellers.

The ranking, based on search data for travel between June 1 and August 31, 2025, highlights growing interest in the island among American holidaymakers.

Reacting to the news in a social media post, Tourism Minister Ernest Hilaire said, “This update from Travel Weekly brings more good news for Saint Lucia. Our hard work is paying off, and the island is receiving much-deserved recognition.”

Other Caribbean destinations in the top 10 are Curaçao and Aruba.

On Google Flights, “trending destinations” reflect the most popular destinations based on current search activity and user interest, as indicated by the volume of searches for flights to those places.

With the summer travel season approaching, tourism officials are working to solidify Saint Lucia’s position as a top vacation spot.

Geraine Georges, public relations manager at the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, told St Lucia Times, “We are elated but not surprised. As a high-performance agency, we are driven by data and strategically target markets and emerging markets of relevance to Saint Lucia.

“Connectivity is especially important for us and efforts to keep Saint Lucia connected with key source markets are always at the forefront of our operations.”

Adding to the island’s accolades, Cabot Saint Lucia – Point Hardy has secured the fifth spot on Planet Golf’s “Golf Week – Top 100 Outside the USA 2025 list. Officials say the championship-level course has attracted global interest from new areas and created a unique celebrity pull.

“Seeing Cabot named in the Golf Week list is a testament to the dedication and hard work that goes into creating an exceptional golf experience, and we are proud to be recognized among the best in the industry,” Georges said.

“This recognition further solidifies Saint Lucia’s position as a premier destination for world-class golf and tourism.”

  1. All thanks to the brilliant mind of Chas and the Cabot name and what the brand stands for. St.Lucia’s name is going far and the SLP Nuckleheads are getting all the praises for something the wanted to stop. If it ain’t done by The SLP then it ain’t good for Lucia. Nonsense I tell you.
