The hills of Babonneau came alive on Saturday evening as Rainforest Jazz delivered an electrifying night of music, culture and community spirit to a vibrant crowd.
Held for the second time at the Babonneau Rainforest Skyrides, the festival continues to grow in reputation and impact, promising even greater experiences in the years to come.
The lineup showcased an impressive mix of local and regional talent, from the pulsating rhythms of Dominica’s WCK and Ridge’s Cross D Bridge to the high-energy performances of Shemmy J, Impulse Band, and the Garrand Solo Group.
DJ Hollywood kept the energy soaring, ensuring every act brought something unforgettable to the stage.

The evening was further elevated by a special appearance from Dr Virginia Albert-Poyotte, the area’s parliamentary representative, who came out in support of the event.
“Here you have the authentic original Jazz,” said Albert-Poyotte. “When you leave Rainforest Jazz, you have to leave here sweating and if you are not sweating you did not enjoy yourself.”
To the crowd’s delight, she then surprised everyone with a brief freestyle dance on stage.
The turnout was strong, with attendees from across the island and beyond filling the air with laughter and dancing as they surrendered to the rhythms.
