Police Probe Suspected Drowning, Charge Man in Richfond Shooting

Police have launched an investigation into the suspected drowning of a Canadian national at La Toc Beach, while also announcing an arrest in an attempted murder case in Richfond, Dennery.

According to police, marine officers were alerted on Tuesday, November 5,  2025, at 4:39 p.m., after reports surfaced of a body seen floating at La Toc Beach, Castries.

Members of the Police Marine Unit and the Marine Intelligence and Investigations Unit responded to the call, where an unresponsive male was retrieved from the water. A medical professional later pronounced him dead on the scene.

The deceased has been identified as 56-year-old Christopher Lewis Forman, a Canadian national. Police said that at the time of his death, he was “on bail in connection with the offence of aiding and abetting suicide”, but gave no further information.

In a separate update, the police reported that a man has been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting that occurred on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Richfond, Dennery, which left two individuals receiving medical treatment for gunshot wounds.

They said that Sean John, also known as “Zenzee”, a 27-year-old resident of Richfond, Dennery, was arrested on Friday, November 7, 2025, at around 3:30 p.m. Officers executed a warrant to search his residence as part of the investigation. Subsequent inquiries resulted in him being charged with two counts of attempted murder.

John was later taken before the First District Court on Friday, November 14, 2025, for a bail hearing.

Police reported that he was “bailed in the sum of $25,000 cash or suitable surety for each charge.” The matter has been adjourned to February 23, 2026.

Police confirmed that one of the shooting victims has since been discharged from hospital, while the other “remains under care at a medical facility”.
