Barbados has once again been crowned the holder of the strongest passport in the Caribbean. According to the newly released Henley Passport Index 2026, the nation has maintained its regional lead for the 11th year in a row, it places Barbados ahead of all other Caribbean nations in terms of global travel mobility.
The Barbadian passport currently ranks 19th globally, granting citizens visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 162 destinations. This keeps Barbados ahead of its closest regional competitors:
- The Bahamas: 20th globally (150 destinations)
- St Vincent and the Grenadines: 22nd globally (156 destinations)
- St Kitts and Nevis: 23rd globally (155 destinations)
- Antigua and Barbuda: 24th globally (154 destinations)
