Footballer Caull makes Mo Bay move

Another young Saint Lucian is getting ready to compete in the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League, with the news this week that talented winger Kegan Caull will be finishing the 2025-2026 season with current league leaders, Montego Bay United. He makes the move from Hashtag United in England’s Isthmian League Premier Division.

A social media post from Bam Sports TV stated that the club had signed Caull “on a permanent transfer for the remainder of the Season”. Caull will be seeking to play a role for the team as they seek to close in on a first title since 2015-2016. He is back in the Caribbean for the first time since 2021, when he moved to Gibraltar’s Europa Point FC as a teenager.

That move came after the pacy winger had led the national youth team on triumphant campaigns in the 2018 Caribbean Football Union Boys’ Under-14 Challenge Series and the 2019 Concacaf Boys’ Under-15 Championship. He went on to win silverware in Slovenia with NK Tolmin, but the former VSADC Academy player did not get much of a look in at his most recent stop.

Turning 22 in March, Caull will hope that the change of scenery will result in renewed fortunes, and a return to the senior men’s national team. After 21 rounds of competition, Mo Bay are on top of the JPL table with 45 points. They have won 14 games, and have scored a league-leading 40 goals, despite conceding 19, putting them just sixth in that category.

MBU is reportedly seeking to add two more seasoned Saint Lucia internationals, with media reports from the Land of Wood and Water indicating that defender Melvin Doxilly and goalkeeper Vino Barclett have been training with the team. Both are presently under contract with other teams. Saint Lucia midfielder Gregson President played with Mo Bay in 2024.
