LUCELEC celebrates success at annual staff awards

St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) celebrated the hard work and dedication of its team members at its 2025 Staff Awards. The event honoured the individuals and teams who helped drive the company’s success over the past year.

This year’s ceremony, themed “Our People. Our Power. Our Success”, recognised six teams and 62 employees for their important contributions during a strong year for the company.

LUCELEC Managing Director Gilroy Pultie highlighted the company’s achievements, noting that LUCELEC earned a corporate performance Score of 120.64 out of 150, which is a strong improvement over 2024.

“We made very significant progress with many strategic initiatives that will position LUCELEC to achieve its vision, and we continue to serve our customers reliably in an increasingly complex environment,” he said. “This performance did not happen by chance. It was the result of our collective effort, our resilience and our willingness to adapt in an environment that continues to evolve from an economic, technological and regulatory standpoint. This is the standard we must continue to build on, teams stepping up, individuals taking ownership, a culture grounded in our values, challenging ourselves to think and do differently.”

LUCELEC Chairman John Joseph emphasised how important team members are to the company’s reputation and overall performance.

“The awards recognise individuals and teams who have delivered results in a manner that reflects the very best of LUCELEC,” Joseph said. “The investment in our people is the foundation for our strategy and building capabilities, strengthening our culture and fostering high performance in a values-driven organisation are essential to our success.
