A 19-member squad will represent Saint Lucia at the 2026 Caribbean Football Union Boys Under-14 Challenge Series, which begins Sunday in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The delegation was scheduled to depart on Friday.
The Saint Lucia Football Association hopes this group will carry on the country’s strong tradition in youth football and regional competition. All the players have taken part in SLFA and affiliate league tournaments over the past year, including the LUCELEC / BOSL Youth League, SLFA Under-14 Boys Tournament and the Guardsman Under-16 series.
Hasani Eliotte from Desruisseaux and Rhyland Joseph from Monchy will be the team’s goalkeepers. Joseph made a name for himself as a top goalkeeper in his age group during last year’s Gros Islet Football League Showcase Classic.
The defence features Irvin Peter from Valley Soccer and Central Castries, along with Jaden Antoine, Omarhi James of NYAH FC, Trey Didier from Monchy and Central Castries / VSADC teammates Trevohn Edward and Ajani Walker.
In midfield, Shem Ishmael from New Generation FC brings impressive goal-scoring form from the LUCELEC / BOSL and SLFA Zonal competitions. He is joined by Mitchel Deterville of Anse La Raye, Leon Vidal from Saint Lucia Sports Academy, Vijay Edwin of Mabouya Valley, and Kendall Nelson from Monchy. Vidal is back from the 2024 squad.
Up front, Anaj Polius of Monchy United stands out as an MVP and top scorer in several local competitions, joined by his club teammate Khari Elibox. Lyon Griffith from Black Panthers is another leading scorer from the SLFA youth circuit. The attack is rounded out by Dashawn Giddins, Adan Adjodha and Jaelen McDonald.
Head coach Stuart Charles Fevrier leads the technical staff, supported by assistant coach Earl “Ball Hog” Jean, goalkeeper coach Ajani Delice, safeguarding officer Lee Willie, team administrator Stephen Regis, physio Rebertha Wilfred and team doctor Mandisa Moncherry.
The young Piton Boyz start their Tier II Group D campaign at midday on Sunday against Grenada. They play the United States Virgin Islands at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, then take on Suriname on Wednesday. Only the group winners move on to the semifinals next Friday. Last year, Saint Lucia won one match, lost two and drew one.
