Three People Hospitalised After Bus Overturns In Soufriere

Three people sustained injuries after a Toyota HiAce bus overturned near the viewpoint in Soufriere on Wednesday.

Emergency personnel from the Soufriere fire station responded at about 4:20 pm and transported the three victims, whose condition was ‘critical’ to the Soufriere Hospital.

The injured individuals were later transferred to the OKEU Hospital in Castries.

There are no further details at present.

Soufriere oh Soufriere my people, why all in a sudden we’ve been getting bad news about you, what have you done or better still what have you stop doing; I remember Soufriere as the place we were sent during School Holidays to spend time at my Grand Aunts’ home, and when the Church Bells rang, the guys plaid Harmonious sounds on these Bells, depending on the occasion. But that quiet and easy going life has gone; the sounds now are the sounds of death and the Church Bell rings and we ask’for whom the Bell Tolls’.
