Write about what you’re good at, your passion. As mentioned above, we accept articles about food, clothing, technology, etc. Grow your identity and passion on our platform. That being said, we will not accept articles that are controversial. If writing about religion or politics for example, please refrain from attacking persons, groups or organizations. A personal opinion is just that – a personal opinion. So please don’t transform these into facts. Please be aware that we are not accepting news articles at this time.
Here are some general ideas for article content:
- History of a topic or product
- Best or worst practices for a specific goal
- Instructional “how to” tutorials
- Product reviews
- Best places to eat
- Weight loss
- Finance/saving money
- Pet care
Please don’t use our platform to disrespect any person, group or organization.
Articles should be a minimum of 300 words and should cover the topic in detail. Incomplete details are like half-cooked food; no one likes either. To ensure your article has a high chance of getting published, write something original that the audience will appreciate. Remember, our audience comes from a wide background, so there definitely will be persons who appreciate your article once it is well written.
Please don’t use our platform to self-advertise or to promote products or services that you or your business may have. In other words – don’t blow your own trumpet. Your quality content about your passions are what will build your name and reputation.
People may comment on your published article. As the author, feel free to respond to any queries related to your article via the comments. This will give you more exposure and encourage readers to follow your work.
St. Lucia Times reserves the right to limit the number of contributors registered on our website. Registration will be monitored and closed once our in-house contributor limit has been reached.
