The media fraternity is mourning the loss of a giant in the news business – Guy Ellis, former editor of the Voice Newspaper and the Mirror newspaper.
He was also a correspondent for many international news organizations, including the Caribbean News Agency, The Associated Press, and Reuters.
In addition, Ellis was co-author of A HISTORY OF ST. LUCIA, described in the Caribbean Business Report as probably the island’s most extensive history research project.
According to the Caribbean Business Report, the book co-authored by Robert Devaux and Jolien Harmsen should be in every secondary school student’s schoolbag and home and office.
Members of the media fraternity paid glowing tribute to Ellis, recalling that he was a mentor, a consummate professional and a very pleasant individual.
Ellis passed away suddenly on Sunday night.
He was in his late seventies.
REST IN PEACE SIR 👏👏👏🏻
