Matches Continue In SLFA President’s Cup

The SLFA Inc. President’s Cup continued on Thursday 20th April 2023 with matches at the
Dennery and Desruisseaux Playing Fields respectively.

In the first of a double header at Desruisseaux, Shambala Shiloh and Desruisseaux United
played to an exciting 3 – 3 all draw with Shambala being 2 – 1, then 3 – 2 up at one stage.

However, it was the determination and perseverance of Desruisseaux United backed by their home support, which saw them salvaging a point.

Scoring for Shambala Shiloh, were Obafami Poyotte with a brace in the 47th and 63rd min and the other by Barry Williams in the 84th min.

Desruisseaux United got their goals from Edrick Popo 2nd , Mohan Jn. Marie 67th min and Brad Bideau in the 3rd min of added on time.

In the other game played, Black Eagles maintained their unbeaten run with a hard fought
3 – 2 victory over DYCO.

They got their goals from Jevonny Ruffin an own one in the 19th min, Harvy Rismay 43rd and Nazeem Itan in the 84th min.

Scoring for DCYO were Josh Hunte a penalty 21st and Elijah Joseph 77th min.

Over at Dennery, Garrand bounced back from a first round defeat to edge out CT Foundation 1 – 0 with a goal from Kurby Felix in the 59th min.

Robert Lawrence registered the second hat trick of the tournament as he piloted Aux Lyon United to a 4 – 2 victory over Agardianz.

He got his goals in the 29th , 35th and 51st min while Nicky Henville got the other in the 19th min.

Kevin Dupre and Zebulun Job scored for Agardianz in the 59th and 77th min.
