Royal Saint Lucia Police Force Mourns The Death Of Constable 155 Valentius Edgar

It is with a heavy heart and a great sense of loss, the office of the Commissioner of Police, the Executive and other members of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force wish to extend condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Constable 155 Valentius Edgar who was attached to Choiseul Police Station on his passing on Wednesday, July 26th, 2023.

Constable 155 Edgar was a 28-year veteran of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force.  He enlisted on the 10th of July 1995.

During his tenure he worked in three divisions and areas of specialty including Criminal Investigations Department and Special Services Unit.

He was also an active member of the Saint Lucia Cadet Corp, and imparted positively on the youth of our country.

A call is made to all officers to be each other’s keeper, lend a shoulder of strength to those amongst us who need it most at this time.

The journey ahead may seem blurred at this point. But together we may press on.

To his family, the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force extends our deepest sympathy.

Though words may not console at this time, our support, we hope may bring you comfort in your grief. May all his memories guide your path to healing.

I noticed that it was said that A call is made to all officers to be each other’s keeper, lend a shoulder of strength to those amongst us who need it most at this time. this is not the first time I have heard about this call to be your brothers keeper to officers, was it that he was killed in the line of duty?

  2. 28 years of service without a single promotion in rank??? I wonder who was that brother’s keeper???
