On Sunday, the Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) responded to a report of a fire in a dilapidated wooden and concrete structure at Morne du Don, Castries, that damaged a nearby building.
According to reports, the building where the fire started and where a father and son lived had no electricity or water, and no one was in the structure at the time.
An emergency crew from the SLFS headquarters in Castries received a distress call at about 7:47 pm.
