Spent Shells, Live Rounds Recovered From Vieux Fort Homicide Scene

Saint Lucia police say they recovered several spent shells and live rounds at the scene during their initial investigation into the fatal shooting of Mikus Prescott on Friday in Vieux Fort.

Prescott sustained gunshot injuries to his abdomen and right forearm.

Police responded to the shooting on Commercial Street at about 5:23 pm and found the unresponsive nineteen-year-old on his back on the pavement.

Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) emergency personnel attended to the teenager and later transported him via ambulance to a medical facility.

Shortly after, the police received information that the Vieux Fort resident had succumbed.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has appealed to anyone with information regarding the case to come forward and provide anonymous tips at 555.
