Parents Urged To Protect Children Against Diseases In New School Term

As students prepare to return to classes for the new school term, the Ministry of Health has urged parents to protect their children from the spread of infectious diseases.

Saint Lucia has reported  a spike in gastroenteritis cases, with more people presenting with symptoms at healthcare facilities.

In addition health officials have cautioned citizens against spreading respiratory illnesses amid the current flu season.

In a statement on Friday, Health Educator Janelle Alexander Dupre urged parents to be vigilant and stay updated with the latest health information and guidelines.
