The International Labour Organization (ILO) has warned of climate change’s potentially devastating impact on the health of millions of workers globally.
A new ILO report said over 70 percent of the global workforce would likely be exposed to climate-change-related health hazards.
However, the report explained that existing occupational safety and health (OSH) protections are struggling to keep up with the resulting risks.
According to the document, the impact of climate change on workers goes well beyond exposure to excessive heat.
It includes links to cancer, cardiovascular disease, respiratory illnesses, kidney dysfunction, and mental health conditions.
“It is essential that we heed these warnings. Occupational safety and health considerations must become part of our climate change responses – both policies and actions,” said Manal Azzi, OSH Team Lead at the ILO.
The ILO report explores current country responses.
They include revising or creating new legislation, regulations, and guidance and improving climate mitigation strategies such as energy efficiency measures in working environments.

The fulfillment of endtime prophecy May 3, 2024 At 7:53 am
Didn’t you hear? Climate change that killing people.
Yes indeed it is PART of the END TIME PROPHESY and much much more devastating natural unheard of disasters will happen, now and in our life time.
The Sea will rage, Cities and Villages will be affected negatively, Volcanos, Earth quacks, Pestilences, Floods/water damages(is happening now) Wars etc etc the world will be sorry. 2/3 of Earths’ population will disappear, wiped out and then the end. At a given time at either the mid of or end of this Tribulation period, some of US will suddenly disappear gloriously to meet the LORD in the clouds (I know some of you will scoff or mock at this) but be careful, it is written in the Good Book. Let us all pray, thanking the Lord Jesus Christ for His Goodness & Love.
