‘Flambeau Must Win!’

Former Economic Development Minister Guy Joseph has echoed recent assertions by United Workers Party (UWP) Chairman Therold Prudent that the party is on the road to victory at the next general elections.

The Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) won the July 26, 2021 polls by a landslide.

The incumbent Allen Chastanet administration managed to hold on to only two of the eleven seats it had enjoyed in the 17-seat House of Assembly.

Since then, the UWP said it had completed an internal review, obtaining a clear sense of what went wrong in the last elections and what needed addressing to wage a ‘serious campaign’ against the ruling SLP.

“I am not worried about the upcoming election,” Guy Joseph told an opposition event on Sunday night.

“I am worried about the damage that is being done to Saint Lucia today,” the former  Minister declared to opposition supporters.

Joseph told UWP supporters that their party and Saint Lucia needed them.

“Elections must come. Time never stops and Flambeau must win,” he asserted.

Although Joseph was the target of corruption allegations while in office, he stated that Labour Party accusations did not determine his integrity.

“My integrity is determined by two things: the God that I serve and the moral values that were instilled in me by my parents,” he told the UWP event.

The UWP First Deputy Political Leader observed that growing up in certain places, one’s parents would not tolerate certain things.

“You grow up with a value system that becomes the guide to your conscience for the rest of your life,” Joseph asserted.

He observed that in the political arena, there will always be accusations.

However, Joseph declared that the basis for accusations must be fact and truth.

“Where is the truth?” The former MP asked.

  1. Special Christian and Polics
Or the servant of God,a light for the nation ❓
    Wolf in sheep clothing
“Let him who boast, boast in the LORD ”!
How can a man be righteous before God ?
How can you serve God and Baal (the demon)at the same time ?
This is what we should speak, not in words thaught by human standard but words thaughts by the Sprit, expressing Spritual truths (words..
The man without the Sprit does not accept the things that comes from the Sprit of GOD, for they are foolishness to him, and cannot understand them, because he is spritually discerned…
A stumbling block and foolishness !!

  2. You said itand it happened: if we do not finish St.Judes hospital we whould not be in power.
    ” your quoted words”
And you all were kicked out.

    Now for next elections:

If we continuing like this we should not be in power

    Just wait for it….

  4. The Leader at the 15 to 2 LOSS must be relieved of his MISS LEADERSHIP.
Then AND only then my beloved party can be victorious come next election.

  5. Guy, I don’t see a UWP victory unless there is a huge screw up by the SLP. However, in politics anything can happen. I would like to see you outline alternative policies that will move the island forward. It is just too easy and expedient to just criticize the ruling party.

  6. Yawwwwn oh well that’s all ? It was good to get away from these fools,,,,,, I need another vacation again.

  7. U MISS EATING THE CHEESE U THINK ST.LUCIANS STUPID. U WAS THE MAIN REASON FLAMBEAU LOST DE ELECTIONS…..AND THE PEOPLE MUST BRING U BACK ? CHOOPZ TUN GUY .

  8. This man is talking nonsense when the elections is called in 26 the labour party with win all the seat it will be 17 -0 never again will the people elect those t****** never ever …

  9. What went wrong in the last elections? Allen, and Guy yep. Former chairman Ozzie Boy said it loud and clear. Start the clean up from there and people will take you all seriously until then get ready for another loss and five more years or more in Opposition.

  10. If you continue to act in the same manner repeatedly you will get the same outcome.
If you have the same candidates Chasnet Montoute Joseph in fact the same group who were discarded by the electorate the result will be the same .
I am not a die hard supporter of either party and have voted for both in different elections.
But this SLP government under the leadership of the humble lion Philip J Pierre are performing very well …crime not so good but a problem world wide .Unless there is a deterioration in performance this government will be in power for sometime to come.

  11. Guy we don’t want you’ll into our politics again. As long as chastanet is the leader of the UWP they can never win an election. We the people are fed up with you’ll. To be honest all party doing shate. There’s no way a political party can do everything to perfection. But under this administration things a better done than how things were being done under chastanet.

  12. GUY JOSEPH you have no shame! You and Allen are the biggest political failures in St Lucian history. Leave the governing to the ELECTED leaders and stop day dreaming of the power you once had and will never see againon this island!
