Seven long weekends in 2026

Saint Lucian residents can look forward to seven three-day long weekends in 2026, along with one extended four-day weekend around the Easter holidays.

January

The New Year’s Day holiday will be observed on Friday, January 2, creating a long weekend from Friday, January 2 to Sunday, January 4.

February

The holiday for Independence Day, Sunday, February 22, will be given on Monday, February 23, resulting in a long weekend from Saturday, February 21 to Monday, February 23.

April

Good Friday will be observed on Friday, April 3, followed by Easter Monday on Monday, April 6, resulting in a four-day weekend from Friday, April 3 to Monday, April 6.

May

Labour Day falls on Friday, May 1, producing the first long weekend of the month, from Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3.

A second long weekend follows later in May, with Whit Monday observed on Monday, May 25, extending the break from Saturday, May 23 to Monday, May 25.

July

Carnival Monday, observed on July 20, creates a long weekend from Saturday, July 18 to Monday, July 20.

October

Thanksgiving Day in October provides another long weekend, running from Saturday, October 3 to Monday, October 5.

December

The final long weekend of 2026 comes at Christmas, beginning on Friday, December 25 and ending on Sunday, December 27.
