Experienced regional campaigner Kirby Charles will represent Saint Lucia this weekend at the prestigious Roger Boyce Classic and IFBB Pro World Cup 2026 in Barbados, a professional competition billed as the biggest bodybuilding event in the Eastern Caribbean.

Charles, who competes locally for Mango Moon Gym, has earned several medals at the Central American and Caribbean Championships. When the CAC Championships took place in Saint Lucia, he won silver in the Men’s Physique Senior Tall category, adding to his bronze from 2002 and another silver in 2024. He finished fourth in 2023.
The Saint Lucia Amateur Bodybuilding and Fitness Association (SLABBFA) said in a release that Charles is Saint Lucia’s sole athlete at the Barbados event, which is being held at the Garfield Sobers Complex in Wildey, St Michael.
“The competition, which brings together elite physique,
and fitness athletes, provides an important platform for regional talent to test themselves at a high level and gain international exposure,” the association said.
SLABBFA president Eugene Gabriel said that Charles’ international competition shows the rising standards of bodybuilding and fitness in Saint Lucia.
“This is more than a competition; it is a testament to the dedication of our athletes,” said Gabriel. “Kirby’s presence at the Roger Boyce Classic reinforces SLABBFA’s commitment to nurturing and showcasing Saint Lucian talent on an international platform.”
