Ezra, Kisha Kay capture Soca Monarch titles

Kisha Kay made history on Friday night when she became the first woman to capture the 2026 Groovy Soca Monarch title at the SAB in Vigie, while Ezra D’Funmachine claimed the Power Soca Monarch crown, reclaiming the title 12 years after his last victory.

Kisha Kay secured her title with 388 points, edging out first-time competitor Deevon by a single point. Defending Groovy Monarch Imran Nerdy placed third with 385 points, while Arthur Allain rounded out the top four with 368 points.

In the Power Soca competition, Ezra claimed the crown by the narrowest of margins. His winning score of 384 points placed him just one point ahead of Shemmy J, who finished second with 383 points. Tension, Bobo and Samo secured third place with 361 points, while Sedale, HP and Deevon finished fourth with 344 points.
