A Babonneau woman has been charged with two counts of money laundering in connection with the collapsed Creators Alliance investment scheme, which left thousands of investors across the Caribbean with financial losses.
The Financial Intelligence Authority (FIA) charged Sophia Pelage-David following her arrest on Monday, November 2. She appeared before the First District Court on Tuesday, November 3 and was granted bail of $13 000 cash or suitable surety. The matter was adjourned to December 10, 2026.
The FIA alleges that between January 23, 2024, and July 4, 2025, Pelage-David engaged in financial transactions totalling $524 801.30, believed to represent the proceeds of criminal conduct.

A conviction for that offence, under Section 28(1)(b) of the Money Laundering (Prevention) Act, Cap. 12.20, carries a maximum penalty of a $1 million fine and/or 15 years’ imprisonment.
Pelage-David is the second person to be charged in connection with the FIA’s investigation into alleged money laundering linked to Creators Alliance.
In September this year, Electra Fernand of Massade, Gros Islet, was charged with seven counts of money laundering involving approximately $1.062 million. She was also among six people charged in May 2025 with operating a virtual asset business without a licence, contrary to the Virtual Asset Business Act.
Creators Alliance operated locally and regionally from around June 2024 and was identified as a pyramid-style investment opportunity. It collapsed abruptly in March 2025, resulting in millions of dollars in reported financial losses to thousands of investors in Saint Lucia and elsewhere in the Caribbean.
The FIA said its investigations into money laundering activity associated with the scheme are ongoing.
The authority has urged the public to exercise caution when considering unregulated or unauthorised investment opportunities and to seek independent professional advice to verify their legitimacy.
