Gros Islet To Take On Mabouya Valley In Island Cup Premier League

With one game remaining in the SLFA’s Inc Island Cup Premier League the race for the final play Off spot is precariously placed Gros Islet comes up against Mabouya Valley on Wednesday 8th February at the Desruisseaux Playing Field.

To date the Points Standing are as follows:

La Clery – 20 pts.
Canaries – 14 pts
Dennery – 13 pts
Gros Islet – 11 pts
Desruisseaux – 11 pts
Vieux Fort North – 10 pts
Vieux Fort South – 9 pts
Mabouya Valley – 4 pts.
Central Castries – 3 pts and
Marchand – 0 pts

The leading goal scorer is Troy Greenidge of Gros islet 7 goals followed by Malix St. Prix La
Clery 6. There are three players with 4 goals each, namely, Shaquille Degazon and Andrus
Remy of La Clery, and Riquelma Elva of Vieux Fort South.

The top four teams qualify for the semi finals with Canaries being the defending champions.

Meanwhile, the first semi final in the Super League was played on Monday 6th February at the Soufriere Mini Stadium where Laborie with a goal from Simeon Alexander in the 14th min defeated Anse La Raye 1 – 0.

The other semi final will be played on Wednesday 8th February at the Desruisseaux Playing Field between Choiseul and Babonneau.
