Soufriere Carnival Queen contestants assigned sponsors

The Soufriere Carnival Queen Pageant will be held on Saturday June 17, 2023, under the auspices of the Soufriere Events Management Organization (SEMO), the events management arm of the Soufriere Regional Development Foundation.

Six talented and beautiful ladies will vie for the prestigious title of Soufriere Carnival Queen 2023. Corporate sponsors got the chance to dip to choose which contestant will represent their organizations in this year’s pageant during the Sashing Ceremony that took place on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort.

This year’s contestants and sponsors are:
1. Florita St Omer – Ms. Fond Doux Eco Resort
2. Kershell Winifred – Ms. Soufriere/Fond St Jacques Constituency Council
3. Monzel Alfred – Ms. Cricks Funeral Home
4. Kerthy Paul – Ms. Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort
5. Emerle Tisson – Ms. SRDF
6. Kittel Symphorien – Ms. Cool Breeze Car and Jeep Rental

Gemmy Herelle, the chairman of the Soufriere Carnival Queen Pageant Committee, notes that the various corporate partners continue to show their unwavering commitment to the
advancement of young people and the creative industries by giving contestants the chance to showcase and hone their talents.

The spectacular six, he continued, are cultivating a spirit of friendly competition and will receive training that will aid in their holistic development.

“The Soufriere Carnival Queen Pageant is making a triumphant return after a four-year
absence”, said Methodius Claircin, head of the Soufriere Events Management Committee
(SEMO).

According to him, the team will continue to advance Soufriere’s illustrious legacy of
pageantry.

He assures that the overall 2023 Soufriere Carnival experience will be nothing short of amazing.
