The Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Transport wishes to advise the public, that the section of roadway between Fond Joyeaux and Belle Vue, Vieux Fort will be closed to facilitate the reconstruction of a collapsed culvert.
The works are scheduled to commence on Tuesday 2nd April, 2024.
The project is expected to be completed within 3 weeks of commencement, barring any unforeseen circumstances, including inclement weather.
As a result, motorists should expect inconveniences and are encouraged to use alternative routes during the construction period, given that the site conditions are not favorable for the construction of a by-pass road.
